Gold Coast Aquatic Centre (GCAC) is a state of the art facility that hosted the swimming and diving events during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and is up to full Olympic standard. Lighting to 2000 Lux and water clarity for underwater filming is as per the Olympic standard.
Located at Southport’s Broadwater Parklands (main entrance at intersection of Nind Street and Marine Parade, Southport), the centre boasts six pools (heated to a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius all year round) including a 50 metre, 10 lane competition pool, an impressive dry land dive training facility, a fully equipped fitness centre, multi-function meeting rooms and access to Café Catalina.

The main competition pool is an Outdoor 50m pool of 2m uniform depth. The playing surface is a fast tiled pool bottom. This pool can accommodate two full size Underwater Hockey Courts. There is another competition dive pool which can be utilised for warming up.
Substitution areas would be delineated in-water substitution. Side barriers would be manufactured to suit the pool and heavy goals on the pool bottom.
The pool also has a Hi-speed cable broadband connection to the internet available from the pool deck and plenty of spectator seats.
